WESTSIDE PRE-SCHOOL

Children’s Centres are a ‘one-stop shop’ for children under 5 and their families/carers.

The Faversham Children’s Centres at St Mary’s and Bysing Wood work together to deliver a range of services in Faversham for children under 5 and their families covering childcare, health, family and support services in a supportive, understanding and positive environment. 

Children’s Centres are being developed across Kent as part of the Government’s commitment to:

•   The best start in life for every child

•   Better opportunities for parents

•   Affordable quality childcare

•   Stronger and safer communities

  Health Visitors, Midwives, and other agencies work from the Centre so you can access all this under one roof. Children’s Centres are a ‘one-stop shop’ for children under 5 and their families/carers.
  
  The activities on offer include:

• Music groups

• Breast feeding advice and support

• Messy play

• Young parent groups - free driving lessons for up to 19 year olds

• Advice on benefits, education, employment and training

• Play and activity groups to suit babies to pre-schoolers

• Preparation for school

• Postnatal support & child health clinics 

• Outreach/Parent Learning activities

• Special events (Summer Playscheme, Christmas Celebrations etc.)
